It’s a great time to visit Marrakech and show support through tourism as they rebuild after the earthquake. I wrote a guide of my favourite things in Marrakech during lockdown and it’s still relevant.
I’ll be planning my next trip around the availability of this beautiful new hotel.
I love discovering phenomenal women doing incredible things! Stevie van Horn is a sustainability activist creating natural products in line with her ethos of a low waste lifestyle. I’ve been using her sensitive face lotion for a few months now and it is INCREDIBLE. It’s not widely available in the UK so I’m super excited to have been chosen as one of their stockists.
A playlist.
I relocated from a huge capital city (London) to a small seaside town this year and it’s been the perfect cure for the loneliness I experienced during the pandemic. Looks like I’m not alone with those feelings.
I’m astounded at how much art I’m surrounded by down here in Hove — there’s a David Hockney exhibition on just around the corner at Charleston in Firle (until March 2024). Tickets here.
I’d actually never heard of Charleston until I read about it in this wonderful newsletter.
Charleston was the home of Vanessa Bell and her lover Duncan Grant. They bought it in 1916 and Bell lived there until her death in 1961. It was a place where the ideas of The Bloomsbury Group were made real in an open, supportive community of friends, family and lovers who believed in the freedom to express themselves in both art and life.
Dancing in the street, without music.
It is all coming together beautifully.
