The most successful rewilding project in Europe took place less than an hour from where I now live. Knepp Castle Estate has been a family run dairy and agriculture farm since the 1200s, and found herself in financial despair in early 2000. Her owners (Isabella & Charlie) made a dramatic decision to rewild the entire farm despite intense pressure from the government and surrounding farms not to do so. The documentary of their rewilding journey is out now in UK cinemas. The trailer alone is magical.
